Shot Show 2008 - Day Two

Mon Feb 4 2008
Sunday was day two of SHOT show 2008. LARGE PICS ADDED. We slowed down a bit and talked to fewer manufactures and took more detailed pics . We noticed the pictures from day one were not so great because most were taken through or on glass counters. We used some Multicam fabric from Crye Precision as a backdrop and were able to take pics that are more clear then when using glass as a backdrop. We also had some feedback form our website visitors and chat members to get more photos of some things. Here are some interesting things in a bit more detail

The 7.62x39 Masada from Magpul. This one did not have a trigger group installed but we took some pics anyway. The Masada is a modular platform that can use an assortment of ammo. In the 7.62x39 configuration it can use typical AK47 magazines. It's barrel, trigger group and bolt

The FMG9 a folding 9mm that uses Glock mags

Looks like a well a rectangle basically. or with the handle and light it looks like a camp light

Here is another pic with the handle and light  detached

Slide the lever back, and the FMG9 unfolds with springs.

Open all the way there is a small forward grip, stock, light and laser

The laser is activated with small tabs on each side of the top cover that let the shooter control the laser max inside

Flip open the top cover for cleaning and the Glock slide is visible inside

Another new item from Magpul is their back up / flip down sights. These will be made of the same glass / nylon polymer which provide strength and light weight.

There is also a front sight post using the same folding system

A new stock from Magpul

The new Magpul stock has no secondary lock, so it is a bit less cost that the original.

Ergonomic improvements such as the widened magazine release lever and the enhanced selector lever (with finger tab) allow you to employ the weapon quicker.

We stopped by Vltor to check out the new Fortis pistol. Eric was busy working with some well know trainers getting some feedback on how to improve and modify gear.

We took a few pictures of the Vltor AK accessories

The Vltor PKM and PKM receiver was also on display

Would you like the small pictures to get larger?
Let us know, use the feedback form to request larger pictures.

It's a lot more work to load all the large pictures.
We are happy to do it if they are requested, but if not we leave them small to save time
