The AMT Automag III is a large single action semi-automatic stainless steel handgun. The AMT Automag III was built by Harry Sanford, who also invented the .44 Auto Mag. Built by AMT (Arcadia Machine and Tool) in the late 1990s to shoot the .30 carbine cartridge originally designed for the M1 carbine. The Automag III is the first pistol to chamber the 30 carbine. The AMT Automag III has an eight shot magazine. The AMT Automag III has a manual, slide mounted safety. The AMT Automag III weighs 2.2 pounds and has a 6.5 inch barrel
